Seed & Anchor
How I invest

Seeds and anchors

Most positions start small. A seed is an idea I believe in but haven't earned the right to size up yet. If the business and the chart keep proving me right, the seed grows on its own, and I add on pullbacks. Some seeds become anchors.

Anchors are the few names I'd hold through a bad year. I'd rather add to an anchor on a dip than sell it on a scare.

~8%A seed that grows past this gets trimmed back. Winners earn their size slowly.
~30%The most one anchor can be, and only when my conviction is high. Past that, I trim.
~40%The cap on related anchors together, so one theme can't sink the ship.

Why monthly charts

Daily charts are mostly noise. A monthly close is a full month of news turned into one candle, so it's harder to fake and harder to panic over.

Monthly charts are where cycle lows show up. When a top coin's monthly close lands near the lows of past cycles, or a great company falls back to multi year monthly support, that's where I want to plant seeds.

I've been in Bitcoin since its first cycle and investing longer than that. Every cycle since has taught the same lesson: the monthly chart shows the bottoms that the daily chart hides.

I still trade, and I post weekly cards too. Monthly is the lens I come back to.

What I post, and what I don't

  • The Monthly Close once a month, plus weekly data cards in between.
  • Deep dives and lessons on companies and the numbers behind them.
  • My own moves with names only. Never sizes, never account values.

What I don't do: run a paid group, or DM first. Anyone claiming to be me in your DMs is a scammer.
